Historic Replica Sign, Weir Farm National Park
Wilton, CT
I was commissioned to create a replica sign for Weir Farm National Park. The original (top photo) is believed to have been painted by the architect Stanford White and for many years hung over the entrance to the American Impressionist J. Alden Weir home. The words were thought to have come from a letter written to Weir from his brother.

Fooling the Eye
My painting experience extends to many different techniques to emulate nature, age, or materials to fool the eye.
